White Mountains NEMBA Monday Ride

These rides are for all levels of riders. We will always divide up into groups.

If enough women show up and want a separate group ride we'll do that too.

These rides are not races and our goal will always be to finish with more smiles than miles.

It's always a no-drop ride and we welcome newer riders.

The community SHOWED UP last night for group ride #2 in the Valley.⁠

We saw a turnout of first-timers, intermediate, and pretty darn experienced riders. We're stoked to see who joins us next time!

Interested in joining us but not sure if you can keep up? Don't worry. We'll work with you to decide your comfort & skill level, then split up into different rides to accommodate your needs.

Shoutout to our North Conway Store Manager, Sara, for leading the ride, and to the several riders who stepped up & helped out.

Tuesday Fitness Rides Are Back

FC NEMBA is starting up the Tuesday Night Fitness rides again at in the Ridgefield area at 6:00 pm.

Check the FC NEMBA facebook pages below for weekly updates.

There will also be a ladies only group that goes out and the terrain is always tailored to the skills of the group.

They are no drop rides. But, expect some climbing. These are fitness rides.

These will be weekly rides, weather permitting.

Be sure that you've signed the 2022 NEMBA Annual Waiver. But you only need to sign it once.

Ride description: 10-14 miles, 2.5 to 3 hours total. Average pace is 5.4 to 6 mph Some moderate to hard tech but there are "B" lines to all and we can stop and session if people want to. Light rain is fine but thunder & lightning cancel. Ride On

Friendly Thursday night LLF ride. We are offering 4 groups this week - listed in order of pace, with Adam leading the fastest and Mark leading a mellow ride.

Landlocked Forest is beautiful expanse of trails. The terrain is modestly technical with plenty of rocks and roots but mostly flowing singletrack. Practically all technical features including drops, jumps, large rocks, etc have a B line. These rides use second rider drop format to keep things moving but will stop to regroup occasionally - less in the faster rides.

Ride Pace will have slight variations and the best way to know what you are in for comes for riding with each lead in turn - work your way up in speed over time and start on a slower pace than you think for your first LLF group ride.

We'll be riding in groups of 10, being mindful of COVID precautions at rider discretion. It is going to be a blast to get out in small groups and spin wheels at The Fells. Two steps to riding bliss:

2. Pre-register here. A WORD ABOUT RIDE PACE: Rides are listed in descending order of ride speed from Fastest being Group #1 to More Mellow Group #4. Rides 2 & 3 move at a steady state – reasonable clip, take infrequent breaks and basically move through the technical terrain of the Fells.  All rides except for possibly #1 – use second rider drop.  While we work to define uniform language about ride pace it is good idea to a.) get to know the ride leads so you get to know their pace and b.) until that time, chose a pace one lower than you estimate you are up for! Win, win!

The MVNEMBA Women's Strong Novice/Intro to Intermediate Ride is designed for women riders who are familiar with singletrack trails; Comfortable riding for 2 hours with some stopping; Experienced with shifting your weight to stay centered on the bike; Can get over most small rocks, small logs, and down steep descents without getting off your bike. It's also a great ride for experienced riders who haven't been on a bike in a while, or want a ride where they can practice their skills/technique.

We generally break up into several groups based on some basic parameters around pace - faster, intermediate with tech, and mellow. Wheels up at 6PM.

SNH NEMBA Wednesday Bear Brook Coed Intermediate Ride

8-12 miles. No-drop. 750-1000 feet elevation. ~2 hours.

Technical trails at a moderate pace that allows for expanding your comfort zone on some fun sections.

We may split into 2 groups based on attendance and skills.

Trails vary weekly.

   Sign NEMBA's annual waiver in advance of the ride. (You only need to sign it once for any NEMBA group ride or trail care day for all of 2021)
