It's been a long while since we’ve held an event at Diamond Hill and the trails there have just gotten better since.
The name says Fun Ride but, for NEMBA, this is a VERY wild ride.
Sorry no beginner loops for this event.
The skill level is high and so is the excitement. Pads not mandatory but highly suggested.
Due to current permit restrictions, we have a HARD LIMIT of 75 participants so online pre-registration will be MANDATORY. There will be no onsite registration.
Please check in with us at the NEMBA tent and you will be provided with an event wristband. Wristbands need to be worn throughout your ride.
May is hunting season in RI so 200 square inches of Blaze Orange will be REQUIRED to participate.
2 arrowed loops to be combined as you see fit:
Intermediate/Advanced XC: 6-9 Miles of one of the rowdiest cross country loops in the North East. The drops, rollers, and granite slabs never stop, so you'll have plenty to play on. Many features are optional with a go around but some may require you to walk if you are not comfortable. Two bail out points give you the option to shorten the loop down to 6 miles if desired.
Expert Enduro “Stage” Loops: 4 of RI’s wildest downhill trails linked together in a continuous loop with 230’ of climbing in between each run. Mandatory steep terrain, drops, large rollers, and technical sections. Only 5 miles but you’ll work for every inch. These are Double Black Diamond trails and are for experts only please.
All attendees MUST sign the NEMBA Annual Liability Waiver if they haven't already done so.
Individual NEMBA members can register for $15 (Must register with the email address that your active individual membership is attached to) Guests would be at the non-member rate.

Hey ladies, want to work on your aggressive riding skills?
How about some tips on how to hit jumps or drops?
Well our own Chris Nichols is rounding up some great coaches, breaking out the ramps, and throwing a skills clinic right in beautiful Diamond Hill.
The best part? This one is just for the gals!
We'll be meeting up on the Ski Hill side of Diamond Hill at 9AM and having an orientation and making sure everyone signed the waiver. We’ll then break into groups and spend the next few hours learning some new skills to help you shred your next day on the trials. After class you can count on there being a ride.
Things to bring :
Great attitude and willingness to try. A bike, a helmet, water, food/snack.
Pads aren’t mandatory but encouraged.
All attendees MUST sign the NEMBA Annual Liability Waiver.
Date(s) and time:
May 7th 2022
Diamond Hill Park
Cumberland, RI 02864

This event is limited to 30 riders.
Grills Preserve in Bradford RI is managed by the Westerly Land Trust.
At over 500 acres it offers a relatively mild trail experience to the areas runners, hikers, dig walkers and school cross country teams.
Nearby is Woody Hill a more typically challenging riding area.
Grills is the perfect place to introduce new riders to the sport as weal as an excellent place for families with young children.
A really good description of Grills is on this Trailforks Page.
Ever wonder what it is exactly that allows you to get over that log or rock on the trail?
Want to have a better understanding of what it is you are doing on the bike, instead of thrashing about and hoping you clean that section of trail?
At the Rhode Island NEMBA beginner clinic you can achieve all that and more.
The event will be broken up into three successive Sundays at beautiful Grills Preserve in Westerly RI.
We ask that you try to attend all three events.
This event is limited to only 20 attendants so please do your best to attend if you sign up.
We would not want to hold your spot and have someone else miss out if you don’t make it.
To sign up. Go here!

This event is free to all whether you are a member or not.
Participant cap/limit: 20 attendees
Day one 3/27, 9am-noon: Day one will be focused on bike set up and bike maintenance to keep your steed running tip top for optimum fun! We will be going over emergency trailside repairs and basic bike set up. Learning how to fix a flat on a trail and keep your chain lubed are two of several basic skills we’ll go over. Please bring your bike to work on. If time allows we’ll do a short ride after class.
Day two 4/3, 9am-noon: On day two, we will dive into body position on the bike and how to balance your weight on the bike. Definitely bring your bike and helmet, because we’ll be riding.
Day three 4/10, 9am-noon: On the third day we will cover how to make your bike’s components work better for you on the trail (shifting, braking and dropper seatposts). Again this will be a riding class, so bike and helmet are required.
