CR NEMBA Trail Day #1
On Saturday, May 1, we are sponsoring a Volunteer Trail Work Day. We will be doing light trail maintenance and spring clean-up as well as setting up the skills progression features at the Outdoor Center. If you own a leaf rake, please bring it to the work day as extra leaf rakes are always needed. And don't forget to bring a face mask for close encounter work. We really need your help to kick off what promises to be another great season for trail use! In addition to the details below, this page may be updated with additional event info as the date gets closer.
DATE: Saturday, May 1.
Location: Sugarloaf Outdoor Center
TIME: 9:00 a.m. to sign up and get assignments.
DURATION: Approximately 5 hours.
ACTIVITIES: Light trail maintenance and spring clean-up. Set up skills progression features at the Outdoor Center.
ITEMS TO BRING: Water, face mask for close encounter work, sturdy gloves and footwear, safety glasses/protective eyewear, insect repellent, rain gear (just in case), lunch or snacks, your kids because this is a kid-friendly event (using only light tools), tools you may have available (such as leaf rakes, loppers, hand shears), and a cell phone so we can communicate issues that pop up.

NEMBA'S ANNUAL WAIVER: All trail work volunteers must sign NEMBA's annual waiver. This waiver only needs to be signed once per year.
DISCOUNT: Our friends at the Hostel of Maine have generously offered 50% off beer (same day, following the trail work) to CRNEMBA volunteers, ages 21+.
ALL WELCOME: Our trail work days are open to people of all ages and abilities. All that is required is enthusiasm and a willingness to work together; our club will provide direction, tools, and work project locations. We need your help maintaining the beautiful trail network in Carrabassett Valley. Please join us. Trail work days are always fun and productive!
