Description
Greater Portland NEMBA Knolly Roller Project
Early in 2021 Greater Portland NEMBA won a $10,000 NEMBA Signature Trail Grant.
Project Description: GP NEMBA and the Gorham Conservation Commission (GCC) teamed up to create a
beginner-friendly flow trail.
The Goal: Create a flow-type trail with rollers, berms, and progressive jumps that would entice beginner to intermediate user levels but also be fun for advanced riders.
Knolly Roller is a closed and unidirectional loop utilizing existing geographical features such as knolls and depressions.
The trail is .86 miles in length and adjacent to the Lavoie Bike Park; home to a pump track that abuts an existing trail network of over 15 miles of singletrack.
It is also conveniently located between Gorham’s high school and middle school campuses.
Work will continue to make it even better. But for now . . .
