Southern NH NEMBA Fort Rock Ride
Fort Rock is a notoriously technical trail network, full of rocks, roots and other fun things. The intent of this ride (and hopefully more to follow) is to do an intermediate loop for people new to Fort Rock, or for riders who have been there but ended up riding loops that were more difficult than they intended.
Due to the technical nature of the trails, this ride will be a solid intermediate ride and is not recommended for beginners. The ride will be about 8 miles, and is a no drop ride. There will be a combination of flowy single track, and rocky/technical climbs and and descents, while attempting to avoid the most difficult technical sections. Please be prepared for riding this distance as this is a loop ride and there are minimal opportunities to return to the parking lot early. This will likely take 1.5-2 hours to do the loop, and while not a fast paced or race ride expect a moderate workout due to the nature of the trails, riding at fort rock can often feel like you've ridden 20-50% more miles than you actually have!
Please bring a light, this ride will return to the lot after dark.
This week's ride will be leaving from the Watson Lot
~100 Watson Road, Exeter, NH
The lot is a pull off on the side of the sharp turn. If parking in the lot is full, please park on the same side of the street as the lot.
